Any Plastic Ono bassist (and a good one at that) is good enough for me! Plus, I love the cover of Revolver...

I was always a Beatles fan, so naturally I always associate Klaus Voormann with them.  But I also associate him with that bass line on "You're So Vain."  I'm sure he played on a lot of stuff I don't even know about, too.

I now see how Klaus developed his great humility.  I'm not even joking, either.

Wasn't he also in The Plastic Ono Band?

Did he play that bassline including those trade mark hammer-ons at the beginning? I had no idea. Another cameo appearance then, until now I only knew of Mick Jagger's background singing which gets louder from chorus to chorus and by the last one almost drowns out Carly's lead.

You're So Vain is one of my all-time favorites. Mick is a big reason for that, as his attitude sneers through, uncredited or not. If Klaus played on it that makes it even more special.

Sorry Dave, I couldn't even click 'play'.  ;D

If anyone's interested, they can also check out Harry Nilsson for some great Voorman bass lines.

Is that Eric Clapton with the Flying V?  :o :o :o

He must have died a thousand deaths. And not only because of Yoko's wailing (an acquired taste, but you know what you get with her), but also because of the minimalist riff the band choses to plough though. Unsympathetic backing to say the least.

Hmm...
Just thought of a new use for a nail gun.
Best thing about that is the stage is full of old Traynor amps.

There was a studio version of Don't Worry Kyoko, it was the flip side of Cold Turkey. Some regulars at a bar I frequented back then discovered this on the jukebox and would play it over and over just to annoy the bartender, who was about 40 years older than the clientele and just couldn't appreciate the subtlety of Yoko's voice.  ;D

One night when it was playing he suddenly unplugged the jukebox, opened it up, yanked the record out and threw it as far as he could into the winter night. I think everyone got the message.
