Sure, but what should I talk about other than basses and planes? :)

I now feel somewhat component-reduced!

Never heard of them before either.  I hear the industrial element for sure, but there is definitely some trip hop influence in there too; maybe not a pure trip hop, but this ain't no dog show.

See, sometimes you can teach an old heavy metal horse new tricks! But it wasn't long before the bank called and he reverted to a Judas Priest sound with his own band Halford and, eventually, rejoined the old family.

I lived all that 90s grunge/alternative boom in the "right" age, and by that I mean I was still in school at that time. I think I was kinda bored from all those endless solos of the 70s/80s and I was searching for a new drug, more in-your-face. The strange thing is that my favourite from this era still is Soundgarden, the more "metal-influenced" from all the grunge wave. After some time I start listening again to Eloy, Iron Maiden etc but I still sometimes listen to them.

BTW, 90s wasn't only about grunge. There were also those blackmetal guys, who reformed metal (and the look of some old churches in scandinavia too)...

I have somewhere a pic of me with tons of corpsepaint, I promise to post it if I will ever find it.

Music was better when ugly people were allowed to make it.

I had a Greek visit on Friday.

Wait till you see that pic! :P

I had a Greek visit on Friday.

For me wasn't just a visit, more like an experience. I really enjoy meeting nice people, and Uwe is beyond nice. Also, it was nice he had some basses in his office.

Seriously, Rob, you went for that joke and failed to use the phrase "Greek experience" despite it being handed to you?  For shame.

Radiohead? Brilliant band from "The Bends" onwards and counting that album.

Jellyfish and The Posies, Supergrass, Teenage Fanclub. Great stuff from the (power)pop department of that dreaded decade.

I recall hating the grunge movement at the time but looking back most of the music was good. I especially like Pearl Jam after they settled down a bit after the angst of the first two albums. "Vitalogy", "No Code" and "Yield" are great experimental and introspective albums.

Right, let's keep this rammed shut.

If I only think hard enough , I can come up with 90ies bands I like! These guys - a rather obscure New Model Army spin-off - I thought brilliant, unfortunately the folded after just two albums. Whenever I like a band, you can put your bets on them not making it, if I think someone is hopeless, they have a great career in store (Sex Pistols, U2, AC/DC, Kings of Leon).
