Even if I had the money, I'd still rather build one like Tom Grossheider did: http://bassoutpost.com/index.php?topic=3132.msg50203#msg50203

I heard my name being whispered Dave... hahaha. I still play that thing all the time and it's my only bass too.....

Haven't seen the book yet, but I sent out those scanned pages of a mag article with Barry Matthews to a few people here. I never knew anything about them when I got the parts to put this together. (another shameless show-off picture of my only bass.......) ;D

No more contours for me either, I still love this bass.....

That incident with the vehicle getting rammed was a case of mistaken identity, probably gang related. I couldn't use any of those cards, I just personally think it makes the problem worse. There has to be cooler heads prevailing, especially around Chicago roads.....

Slade, Noddy Holder with the best voice in rock and roll. Wow what weird memories of the early '70s in Chicago. Saw Foghat at the Auditorium theater, Mott the Hoople somewhere too....... Even saw Uriah Heep, good show too. I get my fix from youtube when I need it......

Saw them a couple of years ago when Rocco was laid up, the assistant tour manager filled in on bass and just killed, nailing all the tunes. This time Rocco is back and should be a good show. April 16, Hammond, IN.

Very nice! Would love to find a keeper Strat some day. I've had a few of the Tokai 57 p bass copies and they are really good quality.

Chicago truly is a wonderful place to visit! I live 40 miles away and avoid it as often as possible, unless there is something specific I need to do there. Like a White Sox game....

Sorry I don't check in too often, but I just sent the article to the 3 folks that requested it. For the record I did not scan this article, I just saved it from another board where it was posted.
Dave, thanks for the previous compliment about the bass. Take care.
