You need to be in the right mood, but this is nice.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

New from the Jack Bruce channel, from the ArtWorks Scotland documentary.

Nice too. Though I hate to say or write it, he really did play best on that Warwick Thumb in his later days, he was at his most expressive then. No wonder it was his go-to-instrument.

It still is one butt-ugly abomination of a bass.

It's pleasantly upbeat and tuneful.

I don't think it's ugly, it's one of the better looking Warwicks. He did play great on it.

You never heard that one before? It's from German Afternoons (1986), one of his best later albums

Mötley seem to go back to their Corabi daze which were musically viable if commercially a failure:

That pterodactyl in the vid reminds me of a very poor joke ...

Time for some unabashed nepotism: This is one of my son‘s Californian buddies who invited him to play guitar and pedal steel on this track. Lamentably though, I don‘t hear much of a Ritchie Blackmore influence on this, uhum, country-tinged track, it sounds more like the poor kid had to grow up listening to Bernie Leadon and Don Felder all day!

I swear we didn‘t hear THAT MUCH Eagles at home!

John 5 is a good musician. Not that Mick Mars wasn't, I always rated him as the most naturally musical guy in the Crüe.

Biplanes, cheer leaders, flying guitarists and a Mitsubishi bus - what's not to like?!

Granted, it's not Mystery Song, lamentably so.

But it was Francis Rossi's master plan all along to turn the mighty Quo from a rock band into a pop band with a rock'ish backing - and he succeeded in the end. I prefer mid-70ies Quo as well, but have come to terms with the later versions.

That song is a bit on the cheesy side, true, but then cheese and (especially later) Quo were never two different worlds:

One thing you can say about them that they are absolutely fearless in defying serious-minded rock convention in their vids!  ;D

Whoever cut and pasted this had an eye for good modern dance choreography.
