Ouch.  No kidding.  Among the names I've come across - Tom Shitts (someone at a company I worked for), and a co-worker knew a W.B. Darling.  His parents couldn't think of a name, and named him Welcome Baby Darling.

There are real people out there called Wayne King or Wayne Kerr...

I went to school with a girl called Therese Green and another with the surname Hoare but suffered with the phoenitic sound...

I know of two women with unusual "linked" names - one lady's birth surname was Sparrow, she married someone called Starling and when I lost contact she was about to marry into the name Hawk; more recently i was told of a Bird marrying a Parrot...

I knew an Australian couple (married) called Bruce and Sheila (honest to God) who (back in the '70s) had not heard of Monty Python...

I also knew a Gordon (who was a moron) who was going out with a Julie and for a few years lived next to a Wayne and Tracy (UK 80's humour).

I'm married to a Jackie who has a name synonymous with F1... luckily never pulled over for speeding...

I know a William Wallace who was pulled over one night and his girlfriend was Elizabeth Taylor - they were taken to a police station until their identities could be verified...

Oh yeah, and a Miss P Green...

There was a lecturer at my college back in the 70's that did his national service and came across a Sgt. B*st*rd who would force people to say his name properly, following it up with "B*st*rd by name, b*st*rd by nature!"

There's some pretty good Scottish slang Stu could come out with too... ;)

A man I knew who was once regional manager of a supermarket chain had a store manager in his territory named Balzer Frison.

Some people have unfortunate last names, as in this headline. She should have called her doctor after four hours.  ;)
