Back to Michael, I hadn't realized the death toll is so high. I shouldn't have been so glib.  It does seem most were avoidable with the amount of time and info available to aid in making prudent decisions.

I think at first they thought the death toll would be way lower.  Then the figures kept changing.  But I guess what surprised me the most were the deaths outside of Florida.  This hurricane was still a Category 3 when it went into inland Georgia.
