I'm at work and can't see any of the photos but he says he's missing some bridge screws. Thought someone might be interested-

It's a slot head with the pickup at the neck and nylon saddles on a tilt-a bridge. Not a '73. Looks pretty nice, actually. Those bridge screws are easily replaceable...

I would bet more stripped and refinned than walnut, but that is still a really great deal.

I was just about to say this is a strip job, but well-done and much nicer than the original Hershey bar opaque brown they called walnut.

Nice. Good price. Very close to the s/n of my '71 EB-0L.

IMHO it's an original but worn walnut finish.

I'd say refin. Look at the edge above the serial number - just a bit too curved (over sanded). Nicely done otherwise though - barely noticeable. But note the bridge pickup surround. Has something else been there?

You could be right about the edge. Still, the s/n is quite visible.

I didn't notice the bridge pickup surround. Could have been something else there.

Looks nice to me but wrong side of the "Pond" for my budget without being able to give her a good look over (re my wish list, but I'd just have to refin her white-a-la-Dunaway) - Is my memory playing me tricks or was there something about this type and heads splitting...?

Not that I've heard of, though they're still subject to the usual Gibson breaks.

Bruce/Captcolour reportedly had a few where the slotheadstock twisted and affected intonation of the lower notes.

Headstock twist on a slothead is a standard feature, no extra charge.  :)
