More proof that the sound comes from the fingers. Yes it sounds like a vintage bird, but it sounds like Tom Petersson playing a vintage bird, even without his phalanx of tube filled stacks.

That Thunderbird sounds great! The guitarist was constantly overplaying in quite a stiff and unsympathetic way, with quite a plastic-y tone as well. Sack the guitarist and bring in Rick Nielsen!!


One lingering question, where are the repeating and harmony vocals coming from?

Nice song and sound.

Some years ago I got a phone call from the Dutch office of an international record label. 'Tom Petersson is on holiday in The Netherlands, and he asked if there's a Dutch bass magazine to do an interview with.'

Next day I was in a hotel in Amsterdam talking to Tom. Great guy!

Near the end of the video, you'll see a woman to Lilah's right (our left).  The framing isn't great.
