I liked T Rex much better than Brownsville Station. Bolan put it all together nicely. All I meant was that he didn't break any great new ground, except maybe in obscure lyrics.

Well he was doing that breathy softspoken thing in an era where everyone else (in the rock sector) was screaming their ass off.  Not sure he was the first, but close to it.
