Aside from that tasty bass solo, what really struck me here is: This is the guy that basically invented this genre (hardcore with pop tunes? I dunno what to call it but three decades of alt-rock / emo / whatever owes Mr. Mould a huge debt)
... and he's nearing 60
... and he sounds better than ever. Impressive.

He does sound good - although this style is not something I'm drawn to. He definitely can rock it!! And I agree, nice bass solo.

Sounds great.
One of the bands I play in steals heavily from Bob Mould. Love his music.

Good start to the day - thanks for posting.
Keep rockin', Bob.

Cool! Good energy. And nice "lead bass".

Sounds good! Cool Orange rig the bass players has too!

Nice tune. I'm just not a fan of music played at that speed - same reason why speed metal bands never did it for me either. Music I cannot move my butt to in time tends to leave me cold. If that track was presesented to me in a rehearsal room, first thing I'd do is slow it down!
But other people find exactly that appealing, so what do I know, boring old fart I am. I could have never played in a high speed punk or speed metal band, even as a young man. Anything faster than Highway Star is too fast for me.

Well said.
Uwe, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship....

I will refrain from posting Mr. Mould's younger, faster, louder stuff :)
Some of it goes beyond *my* listenability threshold. He did debut on Husker Du's "Land Speed Record" after all...
