These don't come up very often, there happens to be two listed at the same time. Both in decent shape..............

Neither seller is willing to deal with shipping, mine came on a Conway semi. Luckily there were four neighbors home to help lift the pallet off of the truck.

I've never seen one in person.
You going after either of these?

No, one of these boat anchors in my arsenal is all I have room for. I've had several bloggers mention that they'd like to get their hands on one. Most folks say they've never seen one in person.................. Lester seems to have used a LP-1 with a much smaller powered bottom. Here is a link to his auction....

Here's another complete amp. You don't see any for years, then you see three..........

Despite the rarity and condition, I just can't see paying that price.
-
I had one when they first came out. Kept it for one gig. The speakers sucked big time and I returned it for an SVT with 2x15 cab. Much better.
-
The price was $1095.00 + $39.50 for the covers in 1969, you had to really want it for that kind of money at that time........... Not to mention moving it around.. :o

I suspected as much, otherwise these wouldn't be rare. Also, I suspect most early solid state amps weren't that good.

That was serious coin. I paid a lot less than that for my Sunn Sonaro.

Most of these are selling for less than they did 44 years ago. I paid $500.00 + & 180.00 shipping for mine about six years ago. Few people will deal with shipping a monster of this size. I considered driving down to Texas to pick it up, but the shipping was a lot cheaper..........

I wonder if the sudden bloom of these things has anything to do with a perception, by sellers, that there might be increased demand due to the LP Recording reissue? The amp is still cheaper than the guitar, so...
Never seen or played one, but these things always struck me as Standel-ish. Except those didn't suck. Just about as heavy, I would guess, though.
