My band in 1999
« on: August 14, 2012, 03:30:00 AM »
Tomorrow we have a birthday party from a friend of ours who's turning 60.
He was our roadie and bus driver back in the day when we toured with Bittermoon.

Bittermoon split up in early 2000 shortly after we released the album One Good Eye (in 1999)
Just for old times sake we're getting back together to jam a couple of songs from that album.
Haven't heard that stuf in ages. Sort of forgot that we could kick ass (if we wanted to)

You'll hate me for this, Rob, but you know I actually like them: Reminds me of latter day Golden Earring.  :rimshot:

There I said it. Especially the lead singers vocal melodies and the arrangement.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

Haha, the Golden Earring was not exactly our favorite band back then.
But I guess us being a Dutch Rock band, their influence must have been omnipresent  ;)

When I listen to this track now, I hear a lot of U2. Benny's voice, the guitar chords.
Funny, because we didn't consider U2 as being an influence either... :o
