My daughter likes them... their gigs are sold out over here...
The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

I find the grungy production really grating. A lot of new productions are ruined that way. Why do people spend a lot of money so everything sounds like it was recorded on overloaded equipment in a garage? What is wrong with sounding sleek, glistening and elegant? Why does everybody want to sound like a Soundgarden outtake?

Jimmy Page has this great reputation as a producer too, but I never liked the sound of Led Zep records. The way Foo Fighters albums sound makes me wince. I cannot bear to hear more than a few Strokes tracks at a time simply due to the in my ears horrible sounding, indistinct and distorted production. Give me Bob Ezrin, Martin Birch, George Martin anytime ...

That said, I'll probably buy the CD just to hear what it is like.

We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

First couple zep albums sounded o-k to me--maybe even the first 4 albums---after that, the bass started to sound very mid-ranged out...
