Really nice! The neck feels good, the scale is fun, it sits in my hands well. I didn't have a chance to try with a strap yet.
I have only played it in headphones so far but it sounds very promising in them. Very substantial gutsy sound.
The proof will be trying it with a band, I need my guys to get their act together and schedule a practice!

Intonation was perfect out of the box. Neck has a tiny bit of relief, may not need any tweaks. I'd like to lower the action a tiny bit at the bridge but it's not bad already.

The blue looks good on yours. Some I've seen look almost as dark as the black.

A pair of Jrs.....

This might be one of the only times Gibson put slightly higher quality components in a bass than they did in the mating guitar.
The guitar has a compensated bridge, the bass a tune-o-matic 3 point bridge.
The guitar has one or two single coil pickups (P-90’s), the bass a DeCola humbucker with coil tap.
The guitar has typical white button tuners (though not 3 in line tuners), the bass has Hipshot Ultra Lights.

Too bad it seems to be discontinued, a great bargain though......

Mine is very comfortable.  Makes it hard to want to play the 5 string. Maybe I'll go back to 4. I still really like my EPI T Bird Pro, also. I do find the short scale ot the Les Paul some how "eases" the automatic mind-body connection with bass...I e. easier to play without having to think about it too much.

You guys are making me jealous with all your cool new blue basses! Those were very tempting, but I'm currently in a selling mood. Geddy Lee Jazz and Spector NS-2A are about to go up for sale. I think I want another Ric.  8)

I love my long scale 4s (not a 5 guy) but I agree with you about the automatic connection with a short scale.

I thought this was sort of interesting. I sent the warranty card for the DC Bass like I usually do, it came back.....

Did Gibson close more than the plant in Memphis?

I like the blue!

I'm glad I didn't bother to mail the warranty card.  I'm also glad I was able to get the Gator case.  Not only was it a great fit, but somehow it was 20% off.

Gibson is completely out of Memphis. I can't see the address under the returned notice, was it addressed to Memphis?

I just looked at mine.  It's a Nashville P.O. box.

My second warranty registration form was just returned, so it wasn't Post Office error. I'll register them online.......
