Yes you can; sometimes the necks are unplayable without a serious fret dressing if not a refret.  Glad that doesn't appear to have happened to Scott.

  The neck is surprisingly good,  nice and straight,  takes round wounds well.  Fret edges are not finely dressed but no fret sprout, frets are nit dressed but quiet level.  Maple and rosewood construction with a spliced headstock ala Gibson Grabber.
