Just back from two weeks at Warwick's. It was Bass Camp time again. Like last year I was driver and PA to the 'professors' so I spend my days with guys like Alphonso Johnson, Andy Irvine, Adam Nitti, Victor Wooten (and his awesome 13-year old drummer talent son Adam), David Ellefson, Stu Hamm, drummer Chester Thompson, Bobby Vega, Armand Sabal-Lecco, Kevin Brandino, Garry Willis, and Steve Bailey. I already befriended Lee Sklar, Steve B. and Stu last year and this year I had a great time with Ellefson and Nitti. Later in the week I had to drive Chuck Rainey a couple of times, Nik West a couple of times and even Robert Trujillo, who jammed a bit with us and did a gig later. You can imagine I had quite a nice time.
Warwick made a new music hall and filled it with amps and guitars from other brands, just to try, like a James Trussard, Fenders, Music Mans, Höfner, Rickenbacker, Xotic, Fodera, Yamaha, Ibanez and much much more. 76 basses and about 30 amps.
Bass heaven:)
