Nicely done! I lucked out and found an original Epi NR TB case last year for mine. I think your fix is a good idea too, I might need to do that as well for my other one.

I have the same case for my Explorer although the Explorer isn't particularly heavy. I saw some raw Poplar being made ready for a guitar the other day and it convinces me more that under the Veneer the woodgrain Epi Explorers are Poplar.

They ruined it by putting a Queen song over the same video, but this one works for the same reasons the Queen song does not...
