Yes, it's women's pop music. So are Snow Patrol, Coldplay, most of U2 and hundreds of other bands. Songs that end up on personal various artists mix CDs or mp3 collections in the end and in 40 years from now very few people will clamor for a remastered version on whatever media is available then.
They are format, but the song does what it says on the tin. Vocals way too loud for me, but that might be the studio mix (if they played only half-playback, i.e. with live vocals, which I doubt).
But I've seen and heard worse and they seem nice enough and unpretentious as people. I'm not gonna knock anyone with a bass player playing a G-3.
I never ever listen to overt dance music in major keys, I swear!
