At 1:53 into this disturbing news story, a bass guitar is seen in the home of the 37yo Dutch ringleader of this global peodophile ring. Rob/Chris, if you meet this local 37yo bass player, kick him in the nuts for me, thanks >:(

As far as I can see this 37 yo Dutchman wasn't living in the Netherlands as the police cars in front of his house look Australian (or English)?
So you are going to have to do the nutkicking yourself ;)
This week the big case against a paedophile who worked at a kindergarten in Amsterdam has started. The arrestment of this guy shocked the entire country as he seems to have made a lot of victims...

"Details of the ring came out Wednesday when Amir Ish-Hurwitz, a 37-year-old Dutch resident whom investigators identified as the founder and owner of the boylover.net Internet forum, was jailed by a court in The Hague."

Significant bust in the UK - that footage of the Police buses were UK type...
Slowly lowering them into lava pits by cheese wire strapped to their tackle is far too good for these types...
Worst job in the world - reviewing the evidence; no, strike that, the legal representation for the defence... how could you live with yourself after that...

Unfortunately there are pedophiles everywhere. I'm not surprised that somewhere, one of them owns a bass.
No doubt there are bass owners who have committed other crimes. We can't expect every bass brother to be a decent person.
-
In Austin we had one fly an airplane into an office building to make a "statement" about taxes etc....
Killed an innocent man who was by all accounts a gem of a human being.
-
And there's the one who gave steroids to Barry Bonds.
-
Needless to say he played a Fender. I am not surprised.

There are some rumours there are even lawyers among us.... :o
I can't stand people having a go at people (or animals) who can't defend themselves, like babies, kids, disabled people. Makes me sick.

I had hoped we had left that behind us.

barkless that site is wrong in so many ways....

I don't think John meant to advocate it - it was more a social commentary.
This is treacherous ground, say you don't like this type of public branding and next thing you know someone says "Uwe defends pedophiles". He doesn't, but he defends having a second chance for people who have erred, even gravely. And I don't see this helping that second chance. I know, repeat offenders, but nine repeat offenders can't justify the naming and shaming of one who has changed his life. If you want to see a good movie on a touchy subject that avoids obvious answers then see The Woodsman with Kevin Bacon. It will make you think.

I tried that site out of curiosity and checked the closest four listings to my location - not a single one of those listed is still here (if they ever were). IMO the site isn't worth much.

At the risk of being ambigous I agree with all of the comments above but particularly KICK HIM IN THE NUTS.

Additionally, I checked out some places where I know some felons live and they weren't listed.

It's not a bad idea - just seems like either the data source or the implementation is flawed.

comrade pilgrim. has a nice ring to it.

I'm generally a proponent of people having more access to information rather than less. However, in today's world the lines between providing access to information and excessive butting into people's lives are getting very difficult to draw.
