They not only manage to stay in business, they seem to do very well.

Too bad. Monster Cable execs and their attorneys ought to be chained to a dungeon wall upside down. Let's hope it's only a cooperation for the show.

They could always do something a little different, like putting up a display of last year's cease-and-desist letters in their NAMM booth.

Uwe will probably know, but it will have to wait until he gets back home.

I had never heard of them until Chris P. mentioned Mani Mounfield and his Rick 3000.

That doesn't look too bad up close, and you have the skills to improve it if you want to. If there aren't any serious issues, looks like you got a bargain.

I'm glad to hear that Ulf is feeling okay after his first treatment. I'm sure it can't be easy for him, and I'm sure it helps to have you and friends there for him.

Oh my,  :o  I didn't see that one.  Let's just say I'm gonna skip the body we've been talking about and watch this one closely.  I probably will bid on it................wait, it's in the UK?  Crap!  Nope, it's in Tulsa. That's better.  Boy, you really confused me KennY!

It's on US eBay too: http://cgi.ebay.com/VERY-EARLY-1969-GIBSON-LES-PAUL-BASS-WITH-1-PIECE-NECK_W0QQitemZ330394576042QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar_Accessories?hash=item4ced0d24aa

So, my friends, he said (taking off his glasses, giving them a breath of air, wiping the glasses with the bottom piece of his cotton shirt), it seems like an everyday situation for an old man. When there's money to spend, there's nothing to spend it on. And when there's only a little money to spend, there's too much to spend it on.

I had that problem long before I got old.

My van has aircon... open the window - drive faster...  ;D

That's what Justin Wilson (Cajun humorist/chef) called 475 air conditioning... four windows down, driving 75 mph.

We live and learn... now I think things are falling into place - this is similar to Bill's Rickie project... a not hollow hollow body, but not in the LP's case...

Excuse the ignorance on this, Dave, et al... Is there any advantage apart from weight...? I presume this can cause some "resonance" to occur to the sound...

IMO any noticeable change in weight is going to change the sound a bit. Aside from that, it probably depends on the amount of chambering and the thickness of the top. A little bit isn't going to affect it any more than having a large control cavity would. But one like that LP pic you posted above might be noticeably more resonant if the top isn't too thick.

I've got the Too Much To Dream and Mass In F Minor LP's by the Prunes.  On Reprise records.

I have the Stockholm album. But I can't offer you a copy because it's @ 256kbps mp3.  ;D

The story is that Ginger Baker got Jack fired from GBO. Don't know if it's actually been confirmed by either of them, but there was a lot of hostility between them and Jack left.
