The shape of the body kinda reminds my of my homemade guitar. Someone at Warwick must have been watching the Dutch bass & guitar forums...

Worked on mine. It's a no cost reversable mod. Just give it a try.

I had one for a couple of years. Didn't play it much because the neck was way too thin for me. The sound was nice though,  and once the Nail That Toneā„¢ mod was done you could actually hear the E string.

Here it is:

I sold it to a fellow player. He had it converted to a lefty and added a bridge pu. And somehow the color changed a bit:

Yes, this really is the same bass!

You don't even need wood. Here's a guitar I built a while ago.

Three Blue Boy Rickenbackers!

But only one of them is mine...

What is better than three Blue Boy Rickenbackers?

This is what happens when Peter Boer pays you a visit.

Fender Basses / Re: Shitload new Squiers, like a Bass VI en Cabronita.

Love the Squier Bass VI! I was one of the first three people in the Netherlands to buy one  8) One store had three in stock, one of each color and I bought the white one. I've had it for about two months now and still haven't figured out what it's for, but it's cool. To me it's a really low tuned guitar rather than a bass with two extra strings. When plugged into a bass amp it's a bass (although not a great one), but when plugged into a guitar amp it's a cool guitar that makes you want to put on sunglasses and play in E minor. Chords sound really expensive on this thing. The Bass VI is built really well and the trem works fine, no tuning issues.

(I keep posting pics of my guitar until someone wants to mass produce it and pay me lots of money for the design)

This one was mine. A previous owner put the black PG on. I bought it used and instantly regretted it. I sold it within a week. It's just not my kind of bass and not my kind of sound. I prefer Rickenbackers and Precisions.

I like the beasties. They turned hiphop into music (sometimes). Not a big fan, but they were (are?) great. And 47 is way too young for anyone to go.

When scrolling down I wondered if they included a pic of this Fokker. Living near their base I saw them fly over almost every day. I've seen this plane doing these runs a lot lower than on this pic, usually with one engine turned off. When the runway ran out the pilot would start the other engine and fly the plane straight up for as far as it would and then just let it fall down, turn and go over the runway again. It looks more impressive with this F-27 than with a Mustang or Spitfire.

Bass Amps & Effects / Re: Ampeg V4B

It also depends on the bass you use. I have one (a mid seventies V4, with reverb) and it works great with a Ric or a P. With my Squier TB it's impossible to use, the output of that bass drowns the V4. For me it has allways been loud enough, even in a pretty loud rock band.
A couple of years ago we had a 'buizenbakkendag' (tube amp meet) with some people from the Dutch bass forum. It was mainly Rob trying out all amps and all basses and about eight people listening to him (and Chris taking pictures). My V4 seemed to have more headroom than Rob's amp, but maybe that was just because mine had brand new tubes.
