Aha, so that Gloria Jones / Soft Cell hit could've been named Perineal Love... ;D

Uwe's comment: Hah, Rob, you beat me to it, dirty minds obviously think alike!

I think it's a brilliant concept. Can't believe it hasn't been done before (that I know of).
I have no idea how the second neck differs. I only saw it in this situation being played live (only on this side)

If you look at the number of white Precison basses with a black pickguard Sid Vicious obviously still has a major influence on young bass players these days. Not his playing, but just the look of it.

Note that the last three notches on the volume and gain are orange. That's the danger zone...

Here's a remarkable double neck acoustic guitar by the French brand Lag, that I spotted on the Messe.

I think it felt surprisingly light for it's size. About 4 kilograms maybe?

Daniel J posted a photoshopped combination of the normal body shape and the oversized one in another thread:

As you can see the difference is pretty substantial.

Seen at Frankfurter Musik Messe

A 5000 watt Class D Terror Bass.
Adrian Emsley told me it was only a showpiece and there were no concrete plans to actually take these into production.

Yeah we figured it was about time. We met each other in cyberspace (Dudepit II) somewhere in 2003.

I made some pics too in Frankfurt:

Those Les Paul Basses are gorgeous!

I took two BaCHs to the gig today: The EB2 long scale and the BaCH Deluxe.
The EB2 copy never stood a chance. I tried it in the first set, but switched to the BB DLX soon.
That BB DLX  is a killer bass.

As he doesn't finish plates (even salads), we will have bad weather all summer long.

You know thrifty Holländer aren't used to those huge portions they serve in Frankfurt.  :-[

I tried one at the Messe. I think it's a great pedal. Sounds great. The mix function is fantastic.
Plus I like the simplicty of the controls. They work exactly like you think they would. Which is not always the case with effects pedals...

I was at the Messe for two days. And I met Uwe, which was fantastic.
Uwe made me feel very welcome. Showed me Ze Kollekshun of course.
He let me play every bass while he was at work (or was he just posting here?)  ;D
He even lent me his bike to get to the Messe. No, it wasn't a Dutch bike. ;)

We had the most delicious diner (hmmm lambchops!)
And then we went to Uwe's appartment to meet Edith and the the other half of his Kollekshun (the Non Gibson part)

We jammed a little bit. I found at that Uwe is a much better bass player than I am.

Thank you for your hospitality and your generosity Uwe.
BIG HUG!
 :toast:

At the Messe I got overwhelmed by all the bas guitars, amps, effects, noise(!) and of course the gratuitous slapping.
I do like the looks of the new oversized Les Pauls and the Double cut. The double cut has a beautiful blue grey finish. I guess that's what Pelham blue looked like.
Too bad there was no chance of playing them as they were locked in their hangers... The only two bass guitars you could actually play were the SG RI and the Epi JCS.

Thanx Scott.
I read about this pedal and I immediately thought it might be the perfect pedal for me.

Been using the Technophobia Basscreamer that Bernardduur (Rogier) built for a while ago, but lately I can't seem to get the sound I want anymore.
Now that I've read you post I think I should try the Ibanez for sure.
