Well, it was time to get a pickguard for the Embassy. After getting a tracing from Carlo (many thanks...including the grocery list taped to the inside of the envelope), I took the bass over to Pickguardian (
www.pickguardian.com) to get the job done. Tony, who is the owner/staff, suggested a parchment color rather than white, which would be a little too new on a faded bass. I agreed, and the color may match my chicken knobs. I decided to go one further and I got some 4-3/4 oval head screws and painted them, so I'm hoping to have a nice match. The original holes are the only ones ever used, and one of them is right on the rout, so I may not be able to use that one. It was made that way. Real handcraftmanship! Here's the first two pics. I should have the p/g on it tomorrow and will post the finished look.
