Title: Epiphone J180E John Lennon guitar on the 'bay but it needs some reassembly...

My question as a professional repairman/luthier myself is, when does a "Restauration project" guitar turn into being classified as "A heap of splinters?"

Aside from maybe the pickup there's nothing salvagable on the remains of this guitar.

No sense at all to me, an opening bid of $14.95 and $37.00 shipping, so roughly (no pun) $50.00+  ??? ??? ??? for what?

It's a bargain! With a couple hundred dollars worth of new materials and a couple of months of intensive labor, you'll have a glued together smashed Epi Lennon that you could have bought for $500 new.  ;)
