Fender Basses / HNGD! Lefty fender mustang bass
« on: October 05, 2009, 11:30:32 AM »
As some of you might know I have an weakness for short scaled basses en I really love the fender Short-scales.

I own three lefty musicmaster basses and I always wanted a pre'76 mustang with competition stripes. Looked on the internet for some time to find one, and a month ago there she was. On Ebay.co.uk. A true Beauty. Love at first sight. I just got to have her. Original LPB but darkend over the years to a kind of Sherwood greenish.

And here she is. Standing proud in my collection.

It plays and sounds just like a dream.

thanks for the nice comment on my latest bassguitar. It's from a small belgium hobby-builder. I met on a dutch guitarforum. I really like the vibe of it. It's looks wierds, out of the box, oddball but jet familiar and retro/vintage.

It's top-heavy, The head plunges towards the ground.  weights almost nothing. Sounds like hell, plays not that great but what the hell it's such a great looker. It has it's place in my collection. It's had everyting it needs to have to be allowed in the collection. It's short scale and not the usual shape.
