Art, personified...
And I'm the oddist.
Thanks Carlo, nice tutorial!
You're welcome Bill!
Did most of the major sanding and shot a coat of sealer yesterday. Today was another 79 degree one, perfect for opening the doors in the shop and getting some stuff done! First up was lacquer puttying spots that needed to be filled, you can see one by the control cavity and a few pink spots on the side that have already been sanded. I used my usual pendaflex folder to do a p/g template. First trace the body outline where needed.
Extend the horn lines to make a triangle. Cut with exacto and check for accuracy.
Place the triangle in proper position and draw line for trimming.
Lacquer putty work done, everything sanded to 240 and second sealer coat applied.
P/G template finished
Body filled with drywall mud, sanded to 240/320 and 2 coats of white primer.
If I was doing Pete's I'd almost be finished. Tomorrow, sand with 320/400, shoot one more primer coat, one color coat and 2 clear coats.
