 Crap I stopped by on my way home from work and the Mapleglo was gone  :sad: snooze ya loose I guess. I'll get the first call when another mapleglo comes in  but dam that could be a while. Maybe i should just buy the Jetglo

 The local store has two count 'em two new 4003s ! One Jetglo the other Mapleglo. They are both super nice basses love the edge to edge inlays and the walnut wings on the headstock, and the slimmer profile neck. I am going to put a deposit on the mapleglo   ;D

Always loved UFO, I got to meet Pete when he and Waysted came through town in '86. He did a in store at the House of Guitars and gave us all backstage passes, a fun night for sure ! He and the band were super cool to us.

 Glad you dug that up ! I remember seeing that on the 'ol TV when it was new. Big Peanuts fan we have all the specials VHS, gotta get 'em on DVD ! I love the music from the xmas special we have it on cd and play it way to much during the season.

 LOL I have been looking for a Hi-flyer to round out my "early years" bass collection. I had a black one back around '73 or so. I paid 30 bucks for it and rode it home on my bike.......................with no case. LOL. Great little bass, they look cool in black or white. Cool project.

Yep are right there. At least the Ox did it with new bought bodies and necks (as far as I am aware). Not like it was vintage instruments being bastardised.  In the same light I guess its probably still OK for us to buy Warmoth or similar bits and make Frankenbasses.
  Except all those Thunderbirds he relived of pickups and hardware.
