Anybody have a review opinion? Looking for non-standard options for my first bass build. Thanks!

I believe Doc will chime in soon, he had a pair in an Allen Woody Epi Bass I believe, which Uwe now owns I think...

I think he also used a pair on his "Ric" build.

I highly recommend the ThunderTrons.  They are really nice pups.  Good range, nice highs and lows and sound really good when paired up with 500k vol and 250k tone pots.  I also really like the DynaTrons, a cousin of the ThunderTrons.  They are top mounted, modeled after old DeArmond pups (you do have to do a small rout for the magnet that hangs down below the surface about 1/2").

Excellent prices too compared to other custom pups out there on the market.  I love 'em.  What else would you like to know?

I think that would be just enough out of you!! ;D I pretty much think they will be the ones to go in my first bass build. Thanks!

I'm curious about these too.  Is there anything they sound similar to?
Anybody got any recordings?

Would be cool to hear them in action. But It think dr. Bassman's glowing endorsement did it for me. Besides, sometimes it's fun to try something totally unknown. Like building a guitar, or a bass haha ;).

ordering them tomorrow!

I don't think you'll be disappointed.  I've used 4 sets of them thus far and they are my favorites.  I'll be ordering another set soon for my BillyBo project.  Just wouldn't be one with TV Jones pups!
