And when you're done rocking out with it Ron Wood style, you can get down and funky with it Verdine White style. One slight difference, his had clover keys as you can see after 15:00.

Cool stuff. Looking forward to seeing what you guys end up going with. Personally, I'd pull out all the stops and go for a semi hollow body based on the es or lp shape, multiply binding everywhere possible and a wide ribbon flame top with some flavor of burst. Oh and can't forget some fancy inlays made from abalone or mop. But that's just me.

Good one. Lots of good music on that guys channel. I found Uwe's favorite on there.

The drab dark grey isn't too far off from black. A more exciting color would probably go for even more.

Now we really have to get back on track with the original topic of this thread of threads: Lieber Dave, have you noticed that our poll shows relatively limited support for your cherished view?  8)

The science is settled!

Haven't heard that Dr.Hook tune before. Here's a few on the subject I'm more familiar with.

Regarding Extreme, Nuno is ripping but there's a reason Gary Cherone didn't set the world abalaze with his stint in Van Halen. Not sure about Nuno's hoop earrings. Is he getting fashion tips from Salt n' Peppa?
Speaking of Garys, Gary Ryan, the original Joan Jett and the Blackheart's bassist has my favorite meat and potatoes bass tone.
I picked up a live Joan cd from 1/31/81 and the bass was fat and up front in the mix. My kid makes me blare the first song and only the first song, "Bad Reputation" when I take her to school.
Here's one that sounds from the same time.

If we're talking iconic, it's hard to beat Mickey Mouse.

The Pointer Sisters have shows booked. I think they're down to one Original member Ruth.

I was just humming this one the other day. With all respect to Van Halen, I prefer this song more.

Besides Flea playing Higher Ground, Octaves make me think of this. Also RIP Wayne Shorter.

This video features a Spector Thunderbird and boobies. Not the blue footed kind.

Yeah, I stumbled on all that stuff you brought up about Klaus too. It's unfortunate and disappointing to learn of. People can stop discussing him all they want but it can't change the fact he did some amazing work.
The Great Silence is another all time great spaghetti western. If we ignore everything produced by folks who've done bad stuff, there wouldn't be much to enjoy.

Cordoba? I thought Fender owned and produced Guilds lately? Will be interesting to see how a Yamaha produced Starfire will differ from the most recent versions.

Nice work. If it were a production model instrument I bet it'd be a good seller too.

Anyone who can stare down Klaus Kinski must be a badass.

Klaus was a real character. I didn't realize he was such a nutjob in real life too until recently.

Maybe this is how Uwe has so much success in the court? He just summons up the demeanor of Kinski and scares the jury shitless.

Wow. Never heard of that band or her. A real gap in my CD collection - immediately rectified by making Herr Bezos some more money.

Danke for the inspiration!

So you must not have seen Death Proof either? Kurt Russell is a real son of a bitch in that one. Definitely also worth checking out. Awesome car scenes.
