Leo not wanting to use truss rods explains why he didn't make them easy to access for adjustment. He didn't think people would need to use them much. The part about Hendrix not being melodic enough was a gas too.

I think the article is much better than his previously unpublished interviews that Reverb has run, because here he ties everything together in a way that the interviews don't.
