The Outpost Cafe / Re: Concert season
« on: June 17, 2018, 04:44:38 AM »
We've been seeing a lot of shows in the past year.

We saw ZZ Top last fall, just before Dusty Hill had problems and they cancelled the end of the tour.  Great, fun show!
We also saw Todd Rundgren.  Another great show.   We had tickets for the current Utopia tour, but missed it.

This year has been:
Hall & Oates and Train - Train was really good.  H&O were good, but fighting sound issues.  The bass sounded horrible until he switched basses (to the one he uses on Live from Daryl's House).  We didn't bother to stay for the encore.
Flogging Molly - I finally got to see them.  What a great, fun band!  There's a lot more going on there than it seems.
James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt are in a couple weeks
Rick Springfield also coming up.

The Outpost Cafe / Hey y'all

I thought I'd drop by.  Quite of few of you I still see on FB.  A lot has happened.  I think you all knew that I got divorced, but in the past year, I have met someone, bought a house together and we are getting married soon.  Busy boy here.

At the last time I was posting, I had quit playing.  I still can't really play more than 5 minutes without losing the feeling in my arm, but I'm thinking of giving it a go again.  I was thinking back when I was curious about doing upright, but really don't have the feel for it.  I tried the Zeta Crossover bass, and found that it was an easier transition, so I'm thinking I may visit that idea again.

Anyway...Hi, y'all!

And of course Joe Elliott's favourite singer:

Which is nothing but a straight copy of the original...

Good info.  Thanks.  I use my Photobucket account only for building ebay listings, and most my business now is done on Etsy, so I have little use for it.  Anything I have on Photobucket is already on my external drives and saved somewhere.

Knowing my Sunn will still work after a nuclear attack makes me feel so much better!  ;D
Russia has also started using typewriters again. They're much harder to hack.

Well, the sale ended, and she did quite well.  I don't know if anyone here bid on anything, but if you did, Thanks!

I pushed the Sunn up on Facebook, too.  The final price for that was $1625.

The Blackhawk used the California GS drivetrain, and the fenders were molded, as I recall, from the '39 Roadmaster.

If I could afford it, I'd be quite happy with this Buick, even if it is over a decade old.
