Title: The Eclipse
Post by: 4stringer77 on April 09, 2024, 02:11:41 PM
Hey anybody else get a view of it? Here are some pictures I got with my phone in Colebrook NH. You can see Dixville notch next to the ski resort known as the Balsams. The spot I was at was my cousin's Christmas tree farm.

I wish I could have been in the path of totality.

I looked at it through my office window (NYC - Lower Manhattan) with a coworker's glasses.  It looked just like I remembered from 2017.  Totality would've been great. Here it was... cool.

We were in the midst of getting a couple of sheds built. Close to totality , so it darkened , but not completely.

It was no doubt a great thing to witness and I'm glad my kid got to join me and see it as well. The traffic on the way back, on the other hand, was horrendous. Here's a piece from the local news channel about it. There's a little close up video of the eclipse further down the page.

I got to see it from here in NYC (non-total but still pretty great).

I can't help remembering this Ozzy clip of a brilliantly timed concert gimmick...

I sometimes watch comedy shows in Spanish.  To be honest, often they aren't very funny to me.  Maybe because my Spanish is so poor.  But this is really funny!  Latin Americans must have more of a sense of humor than I realized.  Duping that TV show was the ultimate way to pull off this joke.
