Title: Oh dear, a monster has surfaced on an auction site...
Post by: Blazer on March 19, 2008, 06:21:39 PM
And this time it's an early seventies Fender Telecaster bass, or atleast it used to be...

Here's the link (http://muziek.marktplaats.nl/snaarinstrumenten-gitaren-bas/156641373-fender-telecaster-bass-1973-customized.html?return=eJxNzU0OgjAQBeC7mMAOyp%2BplhCDNxmhSkNbms6QGIx3d7pzM%2B97bzOgavUxqupR1dezOqGGOC39QhSUEOsWtC8dxJWCBSAsvRVuP4xeC%2B0L45Hi7rQn7QV6gPi%2FFC9DEDkfgGKSnSwXcvb2tkOdzzjQlrVjnbV3y2eUzSWxSexkIjEPE5j4nJELK6SxYjjeR8%2BPopm4bmi4N3kI%2B1Cd%2Bu8Pte9Ftw%3D%3D&df=1&fta=eNpNk1lu4zAMQO%2Bij36LpFYKuUKvEBh1pmNASYzI6WQa5O7VklSCAcN6kEg%2Bip7Y8T3ll7he4v5rikmEvLQsbnEHb3PabWeGEIEtuhCRrbIhbvy9rCH9mROHdWMZjiufrsfDZfkI8cbgHCGF%2BJ8JrXM%2BnNPC%2BLau150s4RWLdfo8iLDk0ImJxTLnvBMT8X3J4RJ7FkBKSU%2BOXvtykS4vnSFVED63aW2ct2QKoxczVioP9agamSFZmP5lxhPpyszA0ElbmH0xyN6afGGu7zPW%2BlqLH5h2WM%2BC7LDWWCEMEA3W04AdKiDbjLuLITIeKuwyBsGbFlOP0EHtBAw6UmpoO%2B0IlWoxu5D2aFvToBvpcpu1QyhHKAErhAGisjUR4gBBtTvEbpQf6WqXUA2Q0NWSsBvp3CXb7tsMUOKzpG6kCb2p7jgYEQC27IMRSS1rIvo1ItC59Q0ORnkQZJuswQjJF%2FhI%2BZJYbOd1mtM%2BHk6f29%2FXEIJk8XG9XPbLaT7cCn1mOk63fRn%2BPO9znvcMkcX0T4T35%2BdX%2BREk3x%2BPH9ji5Bs%3D&fta_ind=13&fs=1)

To translate what it says.

Fender Telecaster Bass built in 1973, orginal and perfect Fender neck, Bartolini Pbass pickup, suitcase included.

If you're searching for that good old fashioned Fender growl with a little more definition, this will be the bass of choice for you. The bass doesn't have to go, But I'm busy on a new project.

Idiotic bids will be removed promptly. If you have serious interrest feel free to come over to look at and play the bass for yourself.

I will consider a trade for another four string bass with extra payment.

Well I really doubt that he will sell that monster.

Is that refinished or did he just dip it in a vat of Pepto-Bismol?

Seriously, that looks like a contoured body. If so, I wonder if it's even the original body?

Tim, yours is a Fender shade of pink. This one looks like a Procter & Gamble pink.  :)

Not that I would ever be interested in this, but It would be interesting to look under that pickguard and see if the neck pocket is squared like the original, or rounded.

There is a very clear distinction between pink and FUCSHIA (aka Electric Magenta).  Someone should point that out to the seller.   8)
