I spent 13 years in Texas but remained an okra-free zone.  I intend to remain that way.

Fried is the only way I can eat Okra.  My Dad likes it pickled!  I think Church's Fried Chicken makes the best fried Okra.

I already said this in another thread but I can't say it often enough:

Okra.  :puke:   Watching the slime ooze out while it's being fried is almost as bad as the taste.

Score!  ;D ;)

..that's because the okra you've been eating has been rotten. If there's any slime at all during cooking, it's gone bad. I don't have any great love for it, but I used to grow lots of okra.

I have no idea, but it always came from my grandmother's garden and she was famous among family and friends for her wonderful shrimp gumbo. I loved her cooking but couldn't stomach the gumbo because it had okra.

When I was a kid, the merest thought of eating goosberries would start me heaving (EEECH....!!! FURRY GRAPES...?!?!), but no problem these days...

Just order up a Bhindi Bhaji next time you are in an Indian restaurant, Dave, and let nature take it course... ;)

Don't know how I missed this thread but I like your bass very much. I am a fan of exotic woods and even gold hardware on the right wood/color combo. The only thing I think it could have made it just a bit better would have been to have the neck and body bound.

(Love okra and hot peppers too! :D)

It does look like a guitar sibling!  :o :o :o But it's probably just veneer (unless it's a very expensive B&CH) where mine is a spalted maple top (parts of the original korina top were removed to make room).
