No, I got what you said Jake... the prob with Garrett was that his heart was in the right place but the machination of politics (the "back-room-boys" that never change) could never let such an aberration live... my response was to the politische beobachtung (if I've got that right) of Ze Kollectur... :vader:

I like Neil Young. Not everything he does, he does way too much (no sane person can like all of his inspiration diarreah), but enough of it.

He once made a comment that none of his lyrics meant anything in general and were mostly just random thoughts and scribblings...

Are we having a slow day, Rob?

Listening to an Enya CD in the office, by the time she's done I'll be mentally slow too.

That sounds strangely familiar in the context of today's US politics. Further deponent sayeth not.

Ah, cousin Donald...

Went to Applecross today, near Skye, and had to cross a very narrow and steep mountain crossing... the "Scotch Mist" was that bad that the person I met at the site had his wife walk in front of the car with a torch to make sure they were staying on the road...
Some vertical drops are present on this pass and climb... :o
I was hopeful of getting some decent sunrise pics but... didn't help my mind-set for the day either... post 2016 blues...

Here is Dutch band Racoon with their bass player Stefan de Kroon using a Gibson Les Paul Bass.
There's a little story to him using this bass here.

Racoon recorded their latest album at ICP studios in Brussels. That studio has a huge collection of vintage instruments, amps, drumkits, etc
Stefan found a Gibson Les Paul Bass there and fell in love with it. He used it on the new album.
And when the album was done and the band left the studio he wanted one himself. But he didn't know where to start.
So he asked around on Facebook for help. Chris directed him to me. And we got in touch.
I did some searching for him and I found a couple of Gibson Les Paul Bass guitars for sale on Ebay and some other sites.
So Stefan bought a nice Les Paul Bass on Ebay for a good price.

When it arrived in The Netherlands, it turned out a previous owner had installed the (original) external impedance transformer plug in the control cavity.
Stefan had his tech take it out to get the bass back in its original state.

And today I saw him on this Dutch TV show with his new love!
I've been flying the Les Paul Bass flag for 17 years, and now finally one shows up on national television. Feel like a missionairy, haha!

 I thought that flag had even gone out of style with Lynyrd Skynyrd? If you don't want to be viewed bedding with the wrong people, just don't use it.

Wise words. Unfortunately also cause for "holy war" in some quarters.
