"Gibson ModTM Collection products may have minor cosmetic defects which are listed in the Warranty Evaluation for each product. These defects are AS-IS and are not covered under the Gibson ModTM Collection's Limited Warranty"

What?!
They have the bloody nerve to ask a king's ransom for these and not even have them flawless?

And, what's the point of converting an existing product if you have all the tools at hand to build an entirely new one. I'm not sure if I would want a bass that has a plugged / doweled headstock and dito bridge. Not for that kind of money at least.

Having said that, I like the idea of a LP six bass.

(The Christmas finishes of sliver and gold are butt ugly by the way)

The 4-pickup Bird is a bit like the Nigel Tufnel MusicMan. But I like the look, a lot actually. And I like the tone of a neck-position pickup in a bass, like a Ric toaster or a Höfner neck pickup.

Too many pups get in the way of my pick playing, especially if the neck is set low so that the top of the body and hence the pups are very close to the strings. It distracts me if my pick constantly bumps against something.

But isn't four (!) soapies adding insult to injury for all you wretched chromies here?

Do my eyes deceive me? Are the saddles on that  beautiful 3 point chrome and the body black? How many pups is too many pups?

The bass looks like it's covered in leather.

 Then there's this......I like it.

https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Guitar/DMOH16478/Thunderbird-Bass/Smooth-Brown

This would look awesome with a b/w/b pickguard and bird logo. The leathery finish kind of works for the color. The black rings kind of get lost against that finish, but it probably looks better in person.

That Trogly guy is an annoyingly adenoidal little grifter isn't he! I can't watch his videos for more than a few minutes, especially when he starts trying to play the guitars.

You are correct.  That particular tone of voice seems to be developing among certain males.  I don't know what it is.  There are annoying rises in the pitch of the voice throughout sentences and the last syllable of a word often ends in vocal fry.  If everyone talked like that in the U.S., I think I would seriously have to consider moving to another country.  Because I find listening to this kind of thing to be unbearable.  Fortunately, it seems to be limited in scope and I haven't heard very many people use that "accent" or whatever it is.  Whatever it is, I don't think it's regional, but I do think it must be some kind of affectation.
It's not those who write the laws that have the greatest impact on society.  It's those who write the songs.

God I cannot stand his dumb voice. It's like having a spinal tap any time I misclick and one of his videos starts playing.
