The fact that he can't play and is evidently tone-deaf does not have a lot to do with the quality (or lack thereof) of his primitive creations. Neither Leo Fender nor Ned Steinberger could play guitar or bass.

True, but Henry J could!

And Leo and Ned never made themselves laughing stock by attempting to do it either.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...

Nathan "Nat" Daniel was another one who made instruments but couldn't play them.

He's only been doing that since he recov(id)ered. Just ignore it. People handle sickness and disease in many different ways.
