Never knew these existed in that color or at that time..

Very pretty. I like the blue ones best. I just wish they had gone with a straight up LP Jr. body and 20 frets.

EDIT - No! I'm glad they did it the way they did. Otherwise I'd have to buy one.

I think that is the dark cherry of the time - the photographs are just glary. That was a nice color though. I can't remember why I went for a root beer one.  ???  :-\

 Pretty color on that, hadn't seen it before - I like the blue quite a lot too.

I'm biased to a Blue money bass,  it's a beauty color on it.

If it's not dark cherry, maybe it was a special Japan market color.

Actually, that was an argument. I thought I only have one Gibbie with gold hardware (at the time that was my Custom Shop short scale Korina Explorer), I should try another one ... Dumb idea, oh well ...

Color of hardware probably has little effect on sound, right?

Gold hardware sounds like black hardware - when mixed with fungus it may become hazardous to your taste :P

my non-scientific listening tests indicate that gold hardware has a brighter sound while black hardware has a darker sound.
