Contemplating new growth in The Forest, Paul?  ;)

Paul Boyer

No, my timber days are through. I'm down to eight Ricks, three of them for sale and I'll keep five for now. But that one is sure yummy!

+1 but maybe more stalk on the eyeballs...
The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

'94 4004C - 1st generation. $1.6K starting bid, $2.2K BIN.

Dave W

Might be okay at the starting bid. Not at the BIN.

Seller's feedback isn't the best.

Paul Boyer

The second Rick I ever owned is one like that, bought from Dave W! Remember that, Dave? I think it was 2003. Still a lovely bass.

Dave W

Sure I do! You bought it from me about 2003-04 but IIRC it's an early one from the 90s. I bought it from forum member Mark F. (fur85) and he wasn't the original owner.

Paul Boyer

Yes, it's a '93 (second year of 4004C production), and I think I got it from you in summer of '03. Still have it. I had Jeff Rath mod it with a V/V/T setup (no switch), and it's one of five Ricks I'm retaining. I've sold 12 since I started to "harvest" the "Rickenbacker National Forest" with three more to sell.

'84 4080 Jetglo.

I'd swap the guards for black, a-la Geddy.

hieronymous

I have to admit, I really love the 4080 - don't ever see myself owning one but have imagined using it on certain songs to switch back & forth between bass & guitar...
