Ah, I thought it was the same seller (I maybe saw one like that, or clicked a relist one time and assumed), but going to look now it appears you're right.  That's some shit then; all using the same original retailers pics too.  Makes more sense at least.

Anyway, another side-effect of ebay removing listing fees; enables fishing for rubes like this.

Exactly. At least a few rubes have probably taken the bait.

There is not a lot of demand for Japanese guitars in Japan. They are more sought after over here.

When you visit the better guitar stores in Tokyo, it's almost all US gear.

A few years back I was semi-seeking another Yamaha SA-17. Not only did I find none (and very few Yammies) the young guys at the shops had never even seen one (I had a photo with me).

Not seen before I looked it up either... beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but not my cup of Rosie...

If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Huh, this Greco LPB looks pretty nice (didn't look too close; not on the market) and seems reasonably priced despite location = Japan.

Gold hardware too if you're into that.
