Would have liked to seen the new Gene Ebo in Epi that isnt million bucks.. That reminds me. Anyone heard any news on this alleged new Gibson V Bass that never seemed to come to fruition?

Did you guys watch the last show ppv last night?
I'm surprised he only played punishers and axes, not 1 Gibson.
I was thinking the folks at Gibson who worked the endorsement deal are probably a bit disappointed.

These used to be one of the budget friendly Gibson basses on the used market.  I have seen them go anywhere from like $500 to almost $2k which is wild.
How things have changed. I aways think of these as the back to the future basses from the band tryout scene. I unfortunately haven't played one of these to comment on how they sound. I would assume quasi p-bassish due to the bolt on and pickup config.

Cool bass and a bonus if you are UK based where the bass is located.
If you are seriously thinking about buying it and they already dropped the price down a lot I would drop a offer and start negotiating from there.

Gibson Basses / Re: Wanted: Les Paul Standard Bass LPB-3 92-97
« on: November 29, 2023, 07:35:41 PM »
Ahh yes the red premium plus top currently on reverb!
That bass is REALLY cool. I'm guessing those alembic pickups are worth a fortune.   If that was cherry sunburst it would be here right now especially with the premium plus top. But this time I'm being super picky in order to get that one that just speaks to me and I'll actually keep.  Since I sold my last LP bass way bass I have settled for probably another 75+ basses and ended up selling or trading as they just weren't what I was chasing.

It always goes the same wat whether it being searching for a car, motorcycle bass etc.. whe. You have the money in your hands nothing is on the market , as soon as you settle 100 awesome deals pop up.

If I already had another lpb-3 I would have snatched that one right tho!

Hey there! . I saw that one but it appears to be pretty heavily modded
Those years didn't come with a 3 way switch.

Howdy folks! Long time no see!.

I'm currently looking for an early 92-97 LP Standard bass in Cherry SB or Ebony, (no tobacco sb.)
I love these boat anchors.
Anyone looking to possibly sell or have a line on a nice one?
              Thanks!

Howdy again,
Got a little impatient with money burning a hole in my pocket and these aren't getting any cheaper. Ishibashi had this one.
A few dings here and there but the burst on this one just looks gorgeous vs a lot of clownbursts that are out there. Just look at it, lol
Now you watch, this happens every time. 50 of them will come up for sale for cheaper money. lol!
So happy to finally be in a position to get another one of these great sounding basses.

The music may be enjoyed. But as a person he was human garbage.
This guy skipped the organ transplant waiting list twice while the regular people suffered.

Im beginning to think more and more that short scales sound a bit meaner than 34" basses.....

whats the deal with the high end ring/overtones in many of these 60s isolated bass recordings?.

The Bass Zone / Best deal on Sadowsky Flats?
« on: November 28, 2010, 06:47:24 PM »
Hi guys, I have heard nothing but good things about these strings, and I really want to give them a go, I have currently been using Roto flats over the past few years and my skin chemistry does not seem to agree with the alloy, I dont know what it is, I wipe them down with alcohol, etc and they STINK after about 20 hours of play on them..

Anyone know where I can get a decent deal on the Sadowskys?

Fender Basses / Re: Incoming Bullet Bass deluxe!

hey Deathshead, what's the balance like on that Bullet?  I'd think that the 34" neck would make it a bit of a diver.

They can be hit or miss in terms of neck dive, my first dakota red didn't have any neck dive,i then had a creme one with a body light as air and it neck dived pretty bad, still it wasn't as bad as like a tbird etc.. I'm hoping this one will balance really nice.
