me too .  always thought the string spacing is a issue for a fender bridge   wonder if they changed the pups or they aren't telling us something about the bridge

I'm guessing that the new Cabronita probably has standard long scale Fender string spacing at the bridge, the pic shows the E and G polepieces very close to the edge of the pickup.

Al was considering building one using one of his Tele guitar bodies, it has a narrower neck pocket like a guitar or the original Mustang/Musicmaster basses and would do better with narrower string spacing at the bridge. Filtertrons probably wouldn't be an issue.
