My new 1965 Gibson Thunderbird II
« on: November 14, 2010, 06:05:31 PM »
Picked it up this weekend from Olivia's Vintage-5 1/2 hours there and 5 1/2 back down in Carbondale, Illinois. GREAT Guys to deal with. I can't say enough nice things about them. It was like walking into a warehouse museum. This bass kills. It's simply fantastic!!! I can't decide if it plays/sounds better than my blue one!!!

I had to downsize my gear in order to buy this. WELL worth it. Now I wait for my Hamer T bird 8 string to be painted blue metal flake and finish the Futura. Great weekend. And tomorrow I start a new job. wish me luck!!

This is tomorrow calling: Good luck on the new job, Cooper! And, wow! What a nice bass, plus the same for the blue one! Still remember the first time I plugged in a 60's T-bird II, into a Fender Dual Showman through two 15". Next thing I felt was the earth move. That was an experience.

In very good shape too! If it sounds anything like mine, it should be pretty dark for a TBird. Good luck with the new job!
