What I did on my summer vacation.......

Post what you have done on your summer vacation.

What I did on my summer vacation-We went for a week to cabin in beautiful Northern Michigan on an isolated lake.

We saw a scary 4 foot Indian doll in an old music store that is now half a resale shop-


Watched and took pictures of a flurry of hatching dragon fly's on our dock.
This one is just emerging from its nymph body


Amazing how a big sky can dwarf your life and the world around you


We took our dogs with us.
We went on many dog walks, he scuffled with two dogs and stole a bite of a cherry donut- It was a great time for him!


Our other dog did not want to leave the cabin and was thrilled to go home!

 Cool pics John, I've always wanted to visit that part of Michigan - Dragonfly's.......they're so neat!

Sounds like a nice trip. I burned a weeks vacation moving, but we are going to San Diego for a week in August. I can't wait to get away!! I even bought a cheap ass bass ($50 Yamaha beater) to take with me on the trip.

Finally recording FULL-ON! Home Studio, ProTools
My guitarist is buckling down pretty good & shredding AWESOMEly & teaching me ProTools.
This is a lot more thrilling for me than going anywhere.
My songs & music are manifesting---some things have been in my head for 5 years....others 30 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My drummer Joe & I just added backup vocals & percussion to 4 GODBROTHERS tracks tonight!!!!
Joe's really good but it's even more FUN & AMAZING for me to be the whole Rhythm Section in TigerShark!! We're just a duo for now.
My trio GODBROTHERS is the priority til our first gig in August. We'll get at least a demo recorded by then, hopefully a whole cd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have 2 gigs lined up for August, & intend to get more.....
Meanwhile TigerShark will be focused on recording a cd too, but won't be gigging til we add more members....probly next year.
Also working on an Instrumental cd & a Movie Soundtrack which will be partly songs from both bands!!
4 cds total for this Summer!!!! Not gonna have much time to cruise the coast, but that's ok. I'll get there once or twice a week at least.
Plan to take my twin daughters to Universal Studios when they visit me in August!!

I'm making my annual pilgrimage to the Gods of Rock and Roll, Honky-Tonk, Rockabilly, Punk, and all things white trash and kitsch at the Heavy Rebel Weekender this 4th of July...
