I might have blown it, I made a offer and he says he has others interested, he will let me know on Thurs. Aside from the refin and headstock repair there are trim washers under the pots a sure sign of repair work to the top of the control cavity. Oh well I'll just have to wait and see.

My initial email to him simply expressed interest. I got another last night with all the pics, so I replied and told him that my interest was solely on your behalf Scott. I'm guessing that I'm 'the other interested party' or it would have already been gone.

Nah....I was the "Number 2 guy" since the first day. Wanted it for parts. Seller just emailed me again wanting to know if I want it because he has an offer he will consider if I don't.

So....have at it. I'm going to email him back and pass on it.

Well we will see he is supposed to call me tonight, in the wake of this I have changed my plans some what. I am selling off some basses to raise big bucks for a nice NR and maybe a beater also. Not so sure about this bass without having it in my hands. Aside from all the other stuff there are trim washers under the pots pretty sure the top of the control cavity is compromised.

Thanks Mark! Already thinking of what color.................. the usual suspects, Ivernesse green, Pelham blue, Cardinal red, or Polaris white.

Well it is a bit of a pig in a poke but I am confident that if there are problems I can handle them. The last '67 I bought  had a failed headstock repair, it was a pretty easy fix.
