Tom Hamilton is a great rock bass player. I can't believe some of the stuff the guy came up with at such a young age. As sick as I am of playing Walk This Way, there are some killer runs, and the main line is a very cool, pick-style funk.

I know, the poor guy is even ashamed of his bass track on Walk this Way because he finds it "too noisy"! And then, adding insult to injury, the producer quipped: "But that is exactly your style!"

I think he was also concerned about his timing being off toward the end of "Walk This Way," a minor point since Tom Hamilton co-wrote songs such as "Sweet Emotion" and "Janie's Got a Gun" with Steven Tyler.
