Yes, PC-unadulterated good old-fashioned fun. Nice butt too.

I have one of the Thunderbird iron-on's. Someone at the Bass Place in Tempe was selling them on Ebay. Did anyone else end up with one of these? If so, did you iron it on anything?

A couple of months ago someone was selling a set of those iron ons. They are kind of cool to have (at least to me).

Yeah I got one of each, but no I haven't used them. I didn't have much luck with iron on stuff back in the 70s..

I had my original one stuck in a drawer for years, have not seen it in a while, who knows it might pop up some day.

I had a Tbird iron on - I got it from Evans Music City here in Houston in the summer of 1976!  8) 8)

How's that for being an old fart!  I can remember whining enough to get mom to drive me thirty miles across town to the music store in 1976 and exactly what I got - but don't have the damndest idea what I had for lunch today! ;D ;D

Speaking of iron ons - there are high quality iron on sheets available for new color devices.  Anything that you want to print can be rendered as a transfer as long as it is not too detailed.  Some of you artistic types might want to start a cottage industry ;)

Old fart? Move over! I got my first guitar from Evans in 1959 when they were still in the Village (on University Blvd), a brand new Melody Maker. Somewhere I've still got the first handwritten instruction sheets from my first guitar lessons there.

I had two. I ironed one on a white Dickies work shirt. I cut the logos out of it though, leaving just the bird with the bass. After having been stuck to that backing for almost 30 years, it didn't completely transfer, but it looked alright nonetheless. I still have it but the shirt is getting pretty hammered. It looks like it's from the 70's now as well.

I had thought about ironing it on to a new white shirt or a piece of similar material and then trying to get it in a frame/shadow box of some sort. Just afraid I might ruin it tho.

Bought a set too, the only thing that disappoints me is the Thunderbird image is smaller than the Firebird.....freakin' bass discrimination!
