I'd go with one of the three body colors as a solid color headstock.

I'm traditional enough that I would not only do that, I'd have to make sure it was the same color as the center piece on the body. It sounds like it's gonna look great!

Sorry to hear of your troubles, John. My sister died from Multiple Myeloma a few years ago at age 54. She fought it for over 11 years and was able to raise her two sons before it took her. Here's hoping that your sister will have plenty of time before she moves on. Best wishes to you and your family.
