OK, I'm putting the LP deluxe together and I need a simple schematic for just 2 Vol and 2 Tone controls, no switch. Can someone help a poor woodworker out??? :P
-
At your service sir! :)

Man, you are good! Where do you find these things? I Googled forever and couldn't find the exact one I needed. Everyone uses the switch!
-
Just found the one with the switch and edit it to delete the 3way, no big deal! :D

Maybe for you! I'll have to look at the two diagrams and compare. I really need to take the time to learn guitar electronics!

The wiring help sure came in handy. I was all set to finish her up last night and the Gotoh tuners I had on hand don't fit, so I ordered a set of Schallers like they would have used on it originally. Man, now I gotta wait for the mailman to shag a$$ to my house before I can play her.
Thanks again for the help!

No problem at all, always willing to help with stuff I know! ;)

What pickups are those?

What pickups are those?
They are Gibson Thunderbird Plus pups. They really grunt and growl. Got her strung up tonight and she sounds great.
I'll post pics and clips if I can figure that out too!
-
Are those Gibson products or made by a second party?
-
Those are Gibson. I have one of the gold one's that is going in my BachBird. It wont look gold when it is in there tho ;)
When I had my LP Standard bass, those pickups were VERY aggressive. Of course I mean that in a positive way.

Yep, Gibson. And I have another set I'm saving for a future project! They are very aggressive and a great match with the LP.

Thanx!

You're welcome! They were floating around eBay a few years a go and I nabbed 2 sets. Should have bought 4 sets!
Here she is with tuners and strings. She kicks butt for sure. I'm gonna leave all of the dings, dents and gouges for awhile and see if they help the tone improve over time. ;) I'll try to post some audio clips via Sound Cloud this weekend.

I love that headstock design. Has the classic Gibson charm and some modern styling as well.

I thought I wanted to sell her before I put her together, but these are really nice basses all things considered. I can't believe the power and tone. Rivals my late model TBs for sure. If I can get used to the neck width, she's worth keeping for sure.

Thanks Sniper and Daniel. They are so simple and I guess that's part of their charm.
