GC close out Jazz bass
« on: February 07, 2009, 11:42:17 AM »
Did I need this No, could I pass it up double no. White with matching headstock, tort guard and stock Badasss bridge all tucked in  G&G case. this thing listed for almost 2K for most of the year they were selling them for 1,400.00. Blow out for $865.00 12 months no payment or interest, who could say no to that ? It came stock with some SCN pickups whatever the heck those are. This is one great sounding and playing Jazz bass ! I am really happy with it.

I would have done the same thing, Scott. That's a beautiful bass. Congratulations!

Looks nice, Scott. Was this a special run made for GC? It doesn't fit the description of any standard model I've heard of. It's fancier than a stock American Standard but it's a not an American Deluxe, which has an active preamp and four knobs. And neither of those come with a Badass bridge stock anyway.

SCN = single coil noiseless

I think it was a special run for GC/musicians friend but I'm not 100% sure. It also has the S1 switch that I have to tell ya I like ! The neck is nitro, feels great.

Congrats
I agree, too good to pass on and white with tort guard to boot. I'm jealous.
 I also like that it's passive, is there any difference in tone from stock single coils other than no 60 cycle hum?
